Pure Potential presents new paintings that explore an ongoing fascination with energy. The raw material that infuses every molecule of our world, energy gives life and form to all that is. This work continues an in-depth investigation of the endless possibilities inherent in understanding energy as the basis of everything. Like the ideas pursued, these abstract paintings ar fluid and alive - they morph and shift with extended viewing.

Using Paul Klee as inspiration, the vision is simple. The idea is simple. We are “taking a line for a walk.” The line may run off our hands either giving or escaping form, broken or continuous, precise or free to go where it will. Above all, we will allow the line a will, be it ours, or its own.

New Moon Rising presents recent paintings that explore notions of memory and inheritance as well as intention and 'choosing again'. They reflect thinking about unity and worlds mixing harmoniously - of new ways of being. To view a pdf copy of the exhibition catalogue, click on the image below.
